Since the Triops Australiensis comes from a warm climate, it needs a slightly higher water temperature than most other species:

• Temperature: Keep the water between 28 °C and 32 °C. A small heating element or a warm spot on the tank is highly recommended.
• Light: Direct light above the breeding tank is essential to awaken and hatch the eggs.

How does the breeding process work?

Fill a clean tank with approximately 0.5 liters of spring water (e.g., still Bar-le-Duc) and add the breeding batch. Ensure a constant temperature of approx. 28 - 32 °C and place a heat lamp above it. The first larvae will soon awaken! After the first 24 hours, you can carefully start feeding very small amounts of (finely ground) food.
