Caring for seed-collecting ants requires a specific diet. Harvester ants (such as Messor barbarus) not only need sugars and proteins but also make seeds their main food source: the so-called 'ant bread'. With this **Seed Food Set**, you get the complete combination of building blocks, fuel, and seed supplies all at once. Specially formulated for the ideal growth of your colony!

Contents of this complete food package:

• Special Seed Mix (>20 varieties): Our own specially formulated mix of fine grass and bird seeds. Perfectly adapted to the mandibles of both small and large workers (majors). Tested and proven in our own breeding with millions of ants!
• Non-flying Fruit Flies (20-50 pieces): The ideal protein source. Necessary for the queen to lay eggs and for the larvae to grow. Very easy to feed without the risk of escape.
• Ready-to-use Sugar Water (2 ml in tube + separate cotton ball): Directly usable carbohydrates for active workers. Safe and mess-free to offer on the included cotton ball.
• Honeydew Substitute (2 ml in tube + separate cotton ball): Our own recipe, packed with natural sugars, minerals, and amino acids. Extensively tested by Antfarm and used for our own breeding!

Easy to use & long-lasting freshness

The sugar water and honeydew are delivered in convenient test tubes, including a separate dosing cotton ball. This allows you to apply a controlled drop to a feeding dish without the ants being able to drown. The seeds can be offered directly on a plate or in the outworld.

Storage advice: Store the sugar water, honeydew, and possibly a portion of the fruit flies in the freezer to optimally preserve their nutritional value and freshness for several months. The seeds can be stored at room temperature.
