Worm World Worm Farm (Wild Science) – Discover the mysterious life underground!
Are you curious about what goes on beneath the earth's surface? With the Worm World Worm Farm from Wild Science, you'll bring a unique and educational nature project into your home. This narrow, transparent farm is specially designed to study the digging behavior and life cycle of earthworms up close, without disturbing them!
See how worms dig tunnels with colored sand
Setting up the farm is easy and a lot of fun. By alternating regular potting soil or garden soil with the supplied layers of colored sand, a beautiful striped soil pattern is created. As soon as you add the worms, you'll see day after day how they dig through the different layers and change the soil structure. This makes the dynamic underwater and underground world perfectly visible!
Thoughtful design for the well-being of the worms
Worms naturally dislike bright light. This kit cleverly addresses that: with the included full-color cardboard cover, you can easily close the farm when you're not looking. This gives the worms the peace and shelter they need to dig their tunnel system right along the transparent plastic.
What's in the package?
- Transparent Worm Farm: Narrow and clear design (30 cm x 19 cm x 4 cm).
- Colored Sand: Several cheerful colors to make the dug tunnels extra visible.
- Cardboard Blackout Cover: Provides the worms with a dark, natural environment.
- Informative Booklet: Full-color (English) guide full of facts about worms.
What do you add yourself?
To prepare the worm farm for use, you simply add:
- A few scoops of moist garden soil or potting soil.
- A number of fresh earthworms (from the garden or compost heap).
- A small amount of organic waste (such as plant remains or a leaf) as food.
Key advantages at a glance:
- Super Educational: Increases knowledge about soil, ecology, and nature.
- Visual Effect: Colored sand makes dug tunnels immediately visible.
- Animal-Friendly Design: Includes a cover for necessary darkening.
- Reusable: After observation, release the worms and you can start over.

Indian Walking Stick Nymph (PSG 1) – The most popular walking stick in the world!
Do you want to start keeping walking sticks? Then the Indian walking stick (Carausius morosus / PSG 1) is the very best choice! This species is traditionally known as the perfect entry-level species. They are incredibly easy to care for, have few demands on their enclosure, and eat plants that can be found in almost every garden or park.
Calm behavior and safe handling
Indian walking sticks are nocturnal animals. During the day, they keep absolutely still and camouflage themselves as a real twig. In the evening, they come to life and you can quietly watch them crawl around and eat. They cannot bite, scratch, jump or fly and do not secrete harmful substances. This makes them extremely suitable for safe handling!
Simple feeding: ivy all year round
A great advantage of the PSG 1 is their diet. They love ivy (Hedera), which can be picked fresh outdoors all year round. They also enjoy eating blackberry, raspberry, oak, rose, and privet leaves. Please note: never use plants from garden centers or florists, as these are sprayed with pesticides that are deadly to insects.
Reproduction without a male (Parthenogenesis)
A special feature of this species is that reproduction is virgin (*parthenogenetic*). In captivity, there are almost exclusively females. As soon as a female is mature, she lays small brown eggs that hatch without fertilization. After a few months, new, healthy female nymphs will emerge from these!
Housing and care requirements
The Indian walking stick feels perfectly at home at normal room temperature (18 °C to 30 °C). The enclosure should be at least 24 cm high and 16 cm wide for adult specimens (at least 3x the length of the animal in height). Lightly spray the enclosure approximately twice a week with a plant mister so that the sticks can drink, but prevent the substrate from becoming too wet.
Key advantages at a glance:
- The Ideal Beginner's Species: Undoubtedly the easiest walking stick to keep.
- Easy Food: Thrives on readily available ivy and blackberry leaves.
- Room Temperature: No expensive heat lamps or complicated equipment needed.
- 100% Tame & Safe: Cannot bite, fly or scratch.
- From Our Own Breeding: Healthy, well-cared-for nymphs directly from the breeder.
Product specifications:
- Species: Carausius morosus (Indian walking stick / PSG 1)
- Age at delivery: Nymph (from stage L1)
- Food: Ivy, blackberry, raspberry, privet
- Temperature: 18 °C - 30 °C (room temperature)
- Humidity: Average (light misting twice a week)
- Origin: Our own breeding

Indian Stick Insect Breeding Kit (PSG 1) – Grow your own stick insect family!
Do you want to experience the stick insect hobby from the very beginning? With this Indian Stick Insect Breeding Kit (Carausius morosus / PSG 1), you'll have everything you need to hatch your own eggs. It's a fantastic, educational experience for children, schools, and adults to watch the tiny nymphs crawl out of their eggs!
What's included in the breeding kit?
- Breeding box: The ideal compact box to safely and controllably store the eggs.
- Approximately 20 eggs (PSG 1): Fresh eggs of various ages, directly from our own breeding.
Easy care for the eggs
Incubating the eggs requires hardly any effort. Place a paper towel at the bottom of the breeding box, lay the eggs on top, and lightly moisten the paper with a plant sprayer about once a week. Because the eggs in the kit are of varied ages, the first nymphs often hatch within a few weeks to months, with the rest following within six months at the latest.
Easy to keep & Eats ivy
Once the young nymphs hatch, they are incredibly easy to care for. They grow well at normal room temperature (18 °C to 30 °C) and mainly eat ivy (Hedera), which can be picked fresh outdoors all year round. You can also offer them blackberry, raspberry, or oak leaves. Please note: never use sprayed plants from a garden center!
Unique virgin reproduction (Parthenogenesis)
The Indian stick insect reproduces via *parthenogenesis*. This means that the females lay unfertilized eggs from which new female stick insects will spontaneously emerge. A male is therefore not necessary! Once the nymphs are adult, they, in turn, will also start laying eggs.
Key benefits at a glance:
- Complete Starter Kit: Includes a handy breeding box and approximately 20 eggs.
- Gradual Hatching: Eggs of different ages for long-lasting breeding enjoyment.
- Super Educational: Great educational project for children and schools.
- Simple Food: The young stick insects live on always available ivy and blackberry leaves.
- Own Breeding: Healthy, carefully collected eggs from our own breeding facility.
Product specifications:
- Species: Carausius morosus (Indian stick insect / PSG 1)
- Content: 1x Breeding box + approx. 20 eggs
- Hatching time: Within a few weeks up to 6 months at the latest
