Triops Australiensis

The Triops Australiensis originates from Australia. There they occur in riverbeds, they need a higher water temperature than the other Triops species.

This Triops Australiensis is a real experience for children. The triops grows so quickly that there is no chance of boredom among the children. Due to the warm temperatures, the triops can only produce all its eggs after 2 weeks and later bury them in the sand.

The Triops Australiensis is a real swimmer among the triops. The triops love to swim fast and also pirouette one after the other.
The Triops Australiensis has a long tail and a silver glittering shield. Although this species lives shorter than the other species, this triops makes it a real party.

Size: approximately 5 – 9 cm
Life expectancy: approx. 40-70 days (under ideal conditions)
Temperature: approximately 28 to 32 degrees (heating element recommended

Add yourself:
• Spring water (Bar le Duc) without carbon dioxide (this can be purchased at the supermarket)
• A glass bowl or container that can hold approximately 0.5 liters of water.
• A lamp (light bulb/spot) that emits light and heat above the bowl or container for the first few days
