Sibylla pretiosa is a praying mantis that mainly occurs in dry grassy areas. The females grow to a size of 5-6 cm and the males are one cm smaller. In captivity, females survive for about 13 months and males live for about 9 months. Both males and females can fly well.
The praying mantis is naturally brown like the branches of trees and plants, but is still quite striking due to the bright colors in the wings that tend towards a mix between green and blue. Furthermore, they have very thin legs, but are still extremely agile and super fast hunters, cool to look at, they are also very active towards prey. They can run quickly and also make short jumps.
They are sometimes kept together because they are less cannibalistic, just like the ghost praying mantis, paradoxa. But this always remains a risk.
