The farm is perfectly suited for small and medium-sized colonies of species like Lasius, Myrmica, Pheidole, Messor and Formica.

These ant farms are equipped with a foam part, which holds the nest about 1 week moist. To moisten the nest, you can make the foam wet by using the included syringe. It absorbs and disperses moisture without the risk of flooding the rooms and corridors. The foam must remain moist so that the ants can nestle well in the farm.

This system of water supply is unique and handy. Even the cleaning of this complete ant farm is possible. It is easy to unscrew the acrylic farm and rinse with water. So you can always reuse it.

The nest is easy to expand with the openings of 10 mm on the outside, here you can add hoses that can be connected to other lodgings.

The diet of ant colonies may vary. Most common ants like Lasius niger and Messor barbarus have a diet consisting sugar water, honeydew and fruit flies. The diet of a Messor colony will also be supplemented with seeds. Choose your nutrition set above.
